Famous Last Words: Week 12

Up to this point, I have turned in all the assignments for each week and have not done a lot of the extra credit. Sometimes I think I should do more of these assignments because many of them seem to help me reflect on the work I have done. This is so much better than stressing about the things I have not completed and feeling overwhelmed!

This week, although it is only Monday, has already been busy. I had a test this morning that was important for my major, and I have to get back on track with my LSAT studying.

Also, I am definitely experiencing the ‘mid-semester blues.’ Every student gets them at some point in time, and I felt that the moment I woke up this morning. My brother is a senior in high school, so it has been tough to miss those important moments with my family. I also have been very self-disciplined about my studying and taking care of myself, so now I am starting to feel tired and burned out. Thanksgiving is on the horizon, so I am anxiously waiting to go back home and spend some much-needed time with the people I love the most.

This is my brother, parents, and grandparents at my brother's senior night for football. I can't wait to go home and spend more time with them!

In this class, I have definitely learned many things I can use later in other classes and activities. I believe my favorite aspect of this class is the blog and the website; making a personal blog has always been something I have wanted to do, but I have also been intimidated by the creative side of it. Posting on my Indian Epics blog has taught me how to make links, place images correctly, and it has also helped me with my writing. Laura has helped me so much with my stories; I have never had a professor who paid so much attention to her students. I am so grateful for that, and I will use the things I learned in this class in so many other parts of my life!

  1. I agree that these extra credit assignments can be so helpful! For example, I am completing the extra commenting right now, as I am only 20 points away from being done in this course with an A. I also agree that Laura is such a huge help in this class. It is awesome to feel as if a professor is always there and looking to improve you, instead of only contacting you when you do something wrong.. Or not at all! I am glad you have enjoyed this course as much as I have!
